ULTRA MUSIC IS THE PREMIER ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC BRAND IN NORTH AMERICA
Ultra Records was founded in New York City in 1995 by former Polygram and Virgin Records executive Patrick Moxey and since then has been the beating heart of the dance music industry in the US and around the globe. Ultra has grown from a successful compilation and single based record label into a full blown music media brand, representing the top electronic artists in the world, including deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Kygo, Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Deorro, The Bloody Beetroots, Above & Beyond, and Armin Van Buuren, just to name a few. Our master catalogue includes over 10,000 recordings that span from works from our premier artist roster to chart topping singles from all over the world, to authentic world music, and more.
At the 2012 54th Annual Grammy Awards, Ultra Music artist deadmau5 was nominated for a total of 3 Grammys, performing on the nationally televised show with rock legends The Foo Fighters. deadmau5 was also nominated for 3 awards at the 2012 Canadian Juno Awards, performing the closing number with MC Flipside and pop vocalist Lights. At the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Calvin Harris performed as house DJ and brought home 2 awards for Electronic Dance Music Video (“Feel So Close”) and for Video of the Year (“We Found Love” with Rihanna).
